My new book, The Children Who Loved Books, was officially born today. You may now drop your forks, hang up your phones and rush out of the house to your nearest bookstore and get one for yourself. Hooray! Here is the official blurb:
Angus and Lucy love books. They have hundreds of them.
Then one day, the books are taken away, and Angus and Lucy discover they need books more than they ever imagined.
A warm and moving celebration of books and the way in which they bring us all together.

Uncanny- I am a former teacher-librarian with two book loving children whose names just happen to be Angus and Lucy! Will be getting a copy of this one to share with them. Can’t wait to read it.

That’s very cool. I didn’t know any children with these names when I wrote the story, I just liked the names.

There’s something about holding a book in your hand. I love the smell and the feel of a printed book. Here’s another one I will definitely be adding to my ever growing collection of books. Well done Peter!

I think I’m going to need a few copies for Christmas presents, Peter – it looks and sounds just beautiful. Can’t wait to get a copy for myself.
